Author Bio
“I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.

Taking after my mother, I’ve always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.

For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who both graduate this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.

Currently I am writing four series of books- The Last Riders, The Dark Souls, The VIP Room, and Biker Bitches series. My favorite book I have written is Soul Of A Woman, which I am hoping to release during the summer of 2014. It took me two years to write, during which I lost my mother, and brother. It’s a book that I truly feel captures the true depths of love a woman can hold for a man. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, I am an emotional writer who wants the readers to feel the emotion of the characters they are reading. Because of this, Teased is probably the hardest thing I have written.

All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best. In the near future I hope to take a weekend break and visit Vegas that will hopefully be this summer. Right now I am typing away on my next story and looking forward to traveling this summer!”

~Cover Reveal~ Taint by S.L. Jennings

Blurb:

Right now, you’re probably asking yourself two things:
Who am I?
And, what the hell are you doing here?

Let’s start with the most obvious question, shall we?

You’re here, ladies, because you can’t f*ck.

Oh, stop it. Don’t cringe. No one under the age of 80 clutches their pearls.
You might as well get used to it, because for the next six weeks, you’re going to hear that word a lot. And you’re going to say it a lot.
Go ahead, try it out on your tongue.
F*ck. F***ck.

Ok, good. Now where were we?

If you enrolled yourself in this program then you are wholly aware that you’re a lousy lay. Good for you. Admitting it is half the battle.

For those of you that have been sent here by your husband or significant other, dry your tears and get over it. You’ve been given a gift, ladies. The gift of mind-blowing, wall-climbing, multiple-orgasm-inducing sex. You have the opportunity to f*ck like a porn star. And I guarantee, you will when I’m done with you.

And who am I?

Well, for the next six weeks, I will be your lover, your teacher, your best friend, and your worst enemy. Your every-f*cking-thing. I’m the one who is going to save your relationship and your sex life.

I am Justice Drake.
And I turn housewives into whores.

Now…who’s first?

Excerpt:

From TAINT, by S.L. Jennings:

“Unless he’s completely desperate or under the influence, a man can’t - and won’t - fuck what doesn’t get him hard.”

Less gasps this time, but every perfectly powdered face is beet red with embarrassment, causing my mouth to slide into a sardonic smirk.

Truth be told, I love this shit. I love ruffling their meticulously groomed feathers. Their obvious discomfort entertains me. Seeing the rosy hue of coyness bleed through their blush is like a balm to my little, sadistic soul.

“And in that case,” I continue, “you don’t want him anyway. What you do want is for him to be salivating at the soles of your Jimmy Choos. And let’s face it, ladies… that’s not happening. Why do you think that is?”

Crickets. Fucking crickets.

“Anyone? Come on, ladies. I can’t help you unless you want to be helped. So unless you all have picture-perfect marriages and husbands that blow your backs out on a regular, I should see some hands.”

This time I’m rewarded with the almost simultaneous intake of eleven breaths. They’re all still here. All willing to bare their souls and dirty laundry in an attempt to rekindle the doused flame between their thighs.

You see, women are liars.

Yeah, I said it. L-I-A-R-S.

They want intimacy just as badly as men do. But to them, intimacy is more than just the physical act of sex. They want to be cherished yet want a man that will get down and dirty. They want tenderness, but crave to be banged like a $2 hooker. They want a man that’ll go all night, but still have the energy to kiss and cuddle and talk about their feelings afterward.

Listen up, ladies. We’re fucking tired! You try going jackrabbit-style, throw in some Cirque du Soleil moves and see if you can keep your eyelids peeled. Us passing out after sex is a compliment- a testament to how good it was. And quite frankly, if your dude can hop out of the sack and go to work or run a marathon, then he still has energy left for sex. He’s just done having sex with you.

Monster by Francette Phal

Monster...a person who excites horror by wickedness, cruelty, etc.

When I read the blurb to Monster, I thought it was going to be one of "those" books. You know, where the guy is a complete asshole who does really bad asshole stuff that only assholes really know how to pull of well. Don't get me wrong. The character Dominic can be an ass but he wasn't much of an ass. I can see why he did what he did. His childhood wasn't pretty and he brought what was done and taught to him to his future and that's where his problems start. But I must say that Dom owned his faults and sought help for himself and to make him a better man for his family.

Dominic and Eden's marriage was doomed from the start. His degradation of Eden was from the beginning. Dom wanted Eden when she hadn't met him until he finally showed up to her place of work as a stripper. He saw her as a gold digger when she was far from it. Sure, she wanted the best things in life that Dom could give her but she didn't act like one. His treatment of her wasn't of physical or verbal abuse. It was mental. He would have her "perform" for his friends but never with his friends.

When Eden has had enough she sets her plan into motion and disappears. This part kinda reminded me of the movie Sleeping with the Enemy. Dom has no idea where she is at until a source reveals information and little by little he sets the trap for Eden to come out of her hiding. Communication is key in every relationship and once it's open they see that they can have a beautiful marriage and family. I'm a sucker for a man who can abstain himself from temptation and Dom proved that. I really liked that about him.

Now, I've been a fan of Ms. Phal's work before so I am used to her writing style and that style is that there are differnt pov's and they are mixed together. We can be reading what the woman is thinking then it jumps to another character. It can be confusing but somehow it works.
*I wouldn't catagorize the book as dark erotica*

Seven Sons by Lili St. Germain

Whelp! I read this book because a lot of my peeps said it was "A must read" and so I was all like "Ooohh Okay! Let me check it out."

I checked it out and it fell flat for me. Sorry. The concept is great. It reminds me of the show Revenge (which is badass btw) but some things I just couldn't get over or accept.

*SEMI-SPOILERS*

Like when she takes it in the ass by one of the guys who rapes her (who also had her dad killed) so that she can "get in" the club to get her revenge. Ummm negative captain. She was a virgin when she was raped by seven....SEVEN dudes and yet she goes back and takes it like a champ by the main honcho. Yes it's been years and she's doing it to get revenge but come on.

And she keeps thinking about the main honchos good looks. Again, negative captain.

And let's talk about her major makeover. Instead of using that money to change her looks completely she should have used it to kill those motherfuckers by Carbombs. Snipers. Killer Clowns. Strippers with machine gun nipples whose vagina's launches missiles. <----Now that would be freaking amazeballs.

Will I read the next one? Ehhh. Maybe but not right now. I am intrigued to see how she goes about whacking each son out and to see how things end but not right now.

This wasn't my cup of tea but hey it could totally be yours and if it is....kuddos.

Off the Record by K.A. Linde

Goal: the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; aim; end

In this new trilogy we are introduced to Liz, a college reporter and Brady, a State Senator who inspires for more. Liz doesn't agree with Brady on some of his political strategies and gets the opportunity to let him know at a press conference. From here a chemistry is formed. They are both attracted to each other but must keep their affair on the down low. They're relationship, if discovered, could make or break their career goals. Brady takes control over their secret, when and where to meet up and to not be seen together. What I liked about their relationship was that while they are attracted to each other, it wasn't insta love. They may have thought it but the words weren't said to each other.

Ultimately you can not get upset over a man who has his priorities straight. Brady laid out from the very beginning that his campaign came first. Completely understandable. Yes, things may happen along the way (like falling in love) but you have to see to your end game and hopefully the other party understands and will be there with you along the way.

Truth. I was apprehensive starting a new K.A. Linde story. After the angst fest with the Avoiding series, I hoped this new series wasn't anything like that and I'm here to say that at least the first book, it's nothing like those. There's a little angst and there could be a love triangle.

All in all I vote for Brady Maxwell and hopefully you will too.
