Blurb

He never meant to hurt her.

Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.

Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.

Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.

Diamonds (All That Glitters, Book One) by K.A. Linde

Synopsis

Bryna feels his eyes on her.

Hot, seductive, enticing.

He’s at least ten years older than her seventeen years, and he knows exactly what he’s doing to her with that look.

Walking away would be the smart thing to do…

But she can’t. Not that first night when he takes her home and claims her body. Not when he shows up in her life again with expensive gifts to win her trust. Not even when she’s falling for him, and everything else is falling apart…

Find out how Bryna goes from golden girl to gold digger in this tantalizingly scandalous first book in the USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde’s All That Glitters series.

~Chapter One~

Broken—mind, body, and soul.
Begging to forget her meaningless existence, to be commanded and molded and remade into someone else, she needed the embrace of the nightlife, the pounding of the music, the sweat, the intoxication just to feel again.
If even for one night.
Allure wasn’t Bryna’s usual scene. She preferred exclusive nightclubs in Beverly Hills and house parties that catered to her and her überwealthy friends at Harmony Prep. She favored places where everyone knew her name, and she could rule as queen bee. But, tonight, she didn’t want to rule her throne.
She wanted to forget her own reality and get lost in the imagined one that Allure provided. The room was full to the brim with bodies grinding to the music and people drinking top-shelf liquor and indulging in the dark secret desires of their hearts.
She swirled the gin martini in her hand and pursed her lips as she surveyed the room.
It was easier here.
Easier to forget about her Hollywood parents and their pathetic divorce. Easier to forget that her high-profile director father had remarried this summer to some Valley trash he’d been having an affair with while he was with her mom. Easier to forget that she had three new stepsiblings and that the oldest, Pace, was only a year younger than her and the new starting quarterback at school.
Easier to forget about everything.
At least everything that was cluttering up her picture-perfect life. Despite the heinous drama consuming her, she needed to remember who she was and what she stood for.
She was fucking Bryna Turner.
A goddess at Harmony. Queen bee. Head cheerleader.
She had started dating Gates Hartman before his breakout role, and now, he was the hottest up-and-coming actor who had hit Hollywood since Ryan Gosling.
She refused to give two shits about what anyone thought of her, especially her parents. Her world might have shifted with the upheaval of their marriage, but she had remained strong for all the eyes always watching her.
But tonight was different.
Tonight, no one was watching.
Tonight, she could lose herself, lose control.

And maybe that was what brought him closer.

~REVIEW~
There is one thing that Ms. Linde knows how to do and that's the ability to make me dislike her characters but with that being said, I was glued to the story. Diamonds is about the story of an adolescent girl, Bryna, who wants to rule. Either it's with her click of friends or with the men in her life; she goes after what she wants to get the proverbial crown on her head to call herself Queen B. At a party, Bryna meets a mystery man. Their love affair is a catalyst of yearning, longing and need...even if it's one sided. It's instant attraction on both parts and from that moment there are plenty of highs just as there are plenty of lows. You see, Bryna and her mystery man have secrets. Secrets that will destroy their worlds. Those secrets will change everything and everyone. How will everything play out? You're guess is as good as mine.

Diamonds is angsty and sexy with more angst. Even though I didn't care much for the characters, it didn't draw me away from the story. Gold, which is the next book, will be one I'll be patiently impatiently waiting for.

The Mad Tatter by J.M. Darhower

SURPRISE RELEASE

It's hard to keep a secret when you just want to shout out to the book world...LOOK WHAT'S COMING YOUR WAY SOOOON!!!!

This isn't Darhower's typical MO(mafia). We have a tattoo artist, Reece, who has been in trouble with the law for his talent. We don't get much into his past background but his present sets the mood to how his future will play out. Then we have a beautiful ballerina, Avery, who gets under Reece's skin to which he doesn't like. Their relationship starts out slow much to Reece's amusement though the sexual tension is high then it sets off to an explosive firework where they face obstacles that could deter their relationship. And last but not least we have Lexie, Reece's adorable too smart for her own good daughter. I loved how she's involved with the story. Reece's reason is Lexie and it was beautiful to watch their relationship. With the highs comes the lows and I love how the story plays out.

Darhower is but a handful of authors that can write just about anything that I'll drop what I'm doing to immediately start devouring her words. All in all, read the book.

~Review~ Where Sea Meets Sky by Karina Halle

REVIEW
When I immerse into a story, I know what I'm looking for. I want to connect with at least one character. I want to get the feels of what the character(s) are feeling. I want the mood set. I don't want to look for something that's not there. I want the story to be told simply without other distractions. And with Where Sea Meets Sky, I got EVERYTHING.

I was completely hooked with the first thought Josh had, who is dressed in costume as Kahl Drogo AKA Jason Momoa AKA my man. He's completely enthralled with the woman who dresses as Leela who we get to know as Gemma. What leads into a one night/day stand turns into an unforgettable memory that neither can forget. Even being an ocean apart, they still hold a connection. When Josh takes a leap of faith and flys out to surprise Gemma, they're both surprised at what they see. On a once in a lifetime road trip thru New Zealand, self discoveries will be made, hearts will be broken, friendships are key and love is around the corner.

Josh and Gemma work together cause they're both "lost". They know how to get what they want but it's taking that unknown step to get it. I got their emotions and their connection. I felt the love. I had the FEELS. The storytelling and writing, as always, is impeccable. I love how I can get lost in Ms. Halle's writing world. Where Sea Meets Sky is definitely an adventure that I recommend to any and all.

Silver Bastard by Joanna Wylde

Review~

New series by Ms. Wylde? I'm in and so should you. If you're a fan of her Reaper's series then this book will grab ya from the beginning. We get the characters Puck and Becca. They meet in a situation that one is being forced into while the other is rejoicing from a forced situation.  After their encounter changed them more for the better(IMO), they both go their separate ways...or so they think.

Puck has guilt when it comes to Becca but he also lays dormant to his other feelings for her. He wants to see her grow and the best way he knows how to let her is to stay away, sort of. Becca, with guidance, grows into a strong young woman. She knows her feelings for Puck didn't change on their first encounter but she wasn't ready for what he has to give. And what he has to give is crazy, wild, hard core fucking and then some. Growing up in the MC world and knowing their pasts, Puck and Becca fit together perfectly. Yeah, it took them time to get to where they're at but it was time needed to help them become what they are now, not then. The story isn't all about Puck and Becca and other characters(new and old) are welcome. We catch somewhat of a glimpse on what's in store to this new series.

It's no secret that I've been a fan of Ms. Wylde from the get go of her MC series. I love how she can make a story gritty, witty with some titty and clitty along with some dicky(it don't rhyme but I got nothing else). All in all, read the book.
