Off the Record by K.A. Linde

Goal: the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; aim; end

In this new trilogy we are introduced to Liz, a college reporter and Brady, a State Senator who inspires for more. Liz doesn't agree with Brady on some of his political strategies and gets the opportunity to let him know at a press conference. From here a chemistry is formed. They are both attracted to each other but must keep their affair on the down low. They're relationship, if discovered, could make or break their career goals. Brady takes control over their secret, when and where to meet up and to not be seen together. What I liked about their relationship was that while they are attracted to each other, it wasn't insta love. They may have thought it but the words weren't said to each other.

Ultimately you can not get upset over a man who has his priorities straight. Brady laid out from the very beginning that his campaign came first. Completely understandable. Yes, things may happen along the way (like falling in love) but you have to see to your end game and hopefully the other party understands and will be there with you along the way.

Truth. I was apprehensive starting a new K.A. Linde story. After the angst fest with the Avoiding series, I hoped this new series wasn't anything like that and I'm here to say that at least the first book, it's nothing like those. There's a little angst and there could be a love triangle.

All in all I vote for Brady Maxwell and hopefully you will too.
